Why?
Early in the diagnosis of MS a friend told me that she was having a problem with button up shirts and I didn't understand so I just listened to her story. My point is, today, I GET IT! It takes me 30 minutes to button my shirt; 45 or so just to zipen my coat. I can't be that person that says, I can't do it. I have to try!
Prayer
I never want anyone to feel alone & misunderstood. Because of my passion to stand in the gap for those who won't or can't pray, I am a Prayer Warrior. This isn't something I read or heard; I know personally the power of prayer..... Life can sometimes be difficult. I've learned to intercede and stand, believing that God can and will move on any situation. "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." Matthew 18:20 “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” Matthew 21:22 “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” Ephesians 6:18

Love Has No Limits! AGAPE
I was looking at Pinterest and this quote about love caught my attention. It really touched my heart because we all want to love and be loved. Problem is, we don't all know what AGAPE LOVE is. Do you know? Life has taught me that love has many different emotional and mental states. In life we can be loving or not. We all want to hear that four letter word because it makes us feel alive. Therapeutically in my relationship with Jesus, I learned in 1st John 4:8, " God is love". Love is part of His character and what He does is influenced by love. In John 15:13, God says, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” The question remains, do you see AGAPE LOVE in your life? Do you show AGAPE LOVE to your friends & family “Let all that you do be done with love.” 1st Corinthians 16:14
Purpose
I’m a woman with a purpose! I have a function in the body of Christ. I’m constantly pressing my way because I know that God will not let anything destroy my destiny. My balance is off. I might cannot stand too long or maybe walk with a limp, but God said His grace is sufficient. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” 2 nd Corinthians 12:9 This is how I get out of the funk that MS will and can put you in daily, I get out by encouraging myself with the Word of God. I was speaking with my husband today and after 2 ½ years, I admitted that I was scared. Well, I don’t like using the word scared. God did not create me to fear. “ For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 nd Timothy 1:7 I’ll just say I’m concerned. Concerne...
Thank You
Quite naturally, I blog about myself. In doing so, I failed to say thank you. Thank you to my best friend, lover, care taker, my husband. THANK YOU! It gets no better than this. Through it all, we been through so much with MS; there were times when I was afraid and you stayed right by my side. You know me so well it seems that you know when I need a little of this or that. Life as I knew it has really changed since the diagnoses of MS and I want to be forever mindful of how you take care of me. For that I say, THANK YOU! With the outpouring of love, you have made the everyday challenges of MS a little easier. For that, THANK YOU! Most of all, I thank Jesus because without Him, I can do nothing. I thank the Lord for touching your heart on my behalf. Lord, I Thank You... A Christian husband loves God more then he loves his wife and loves his wife more than he loves himself. “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and...
Facts
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. ” 1st Corinthians 13:4-7 “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. ” Romans 8:18
Think About It
I was reading a blog on MS.net titled MS and Jealously. The blogger talked about sometime being jealous of family, friends, and strangers because they are doing the things that he once did. However, we all know that once diagnosed things change. Life as you once knew it is of the past. He also warned that the anger can turn into depression. MS makes me feel like I am fighting for my life. I also came to the conclusion that, I’m not created to be like everyone else. With or without MS, I’m different and will stand out in a crowd. I can’t say much about what I read in the blog because MS has not touched my life in the way that he wrote about. With that being said, I will be extremely careful and extremely aware about what I allow in my mind to think about and what I choose to dwell on. God says in Proverbs 3:27, "as a man thinks in his heart, so is he." God tells us what we should dwell on in Philippians 4:8. “Finally, brothers ...
Speak Now Forever Hold Your Peace
Being diagnosed with MS makes one reflect on life. I’ve learned to thank God for the small triumphs. I stop taking things for granted. Case and point, three words came to my mind, red, purple & blue. I thank God for speech. Lord, I thank You! Red represents power and courage Purple is often associated with royalty Blue represents loyalty Colors tel l a story . Words are not just sounds. Our words have real power. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue,” Proverbs 18:21. God spoke the world into existence by the power of His word. “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God,” Hebrews 11:3. Words do more than provide information. The power of our words can destroy or build up one’s spirit. “The soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit” Proverbs 15:4. With all the creatures on this earth, man is the only one that has the ability to c...
