Beautiful
As I said earlier, I felt stuck because heat & MS don't mix. Which leaves me in the house wishing that I was in a room without a roof. In other words, I wanted to go outside to get some air & a little sun.
I had the opportunity to go out and I enjoyed myself. Oh, the heat wasn't to bad either. Point being is, I went shopping, well, window shopping 😄. While in the store looking at the clothes and noticing how people were dressed around me, I thought I need some new clothes or shorten it up a little bit.
While I was thinking about new clothes, God said, Ruth, "Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious. For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting to their own husbands."

1st Peter 3:3-5
Wow, Ruth, God usually just tells me to go get ice cream. And she never, ever tells me to submit to my husband!
ReplyDeleteOh my! Submissive means, LADIES, RESPECT YOUR HUSBAND and the position that he is in. Which is the head.
DeleteIf you had to put the heart of what you believe about God into just one sentence, what would you say?
ReplyDeleteOr is that possible? In some ways it’s not possible, of course, to put everything about God into one sentence. God is infinite, and we’ll never fully understand His greatness, not on this side of eternity anyway. The Apostle Paul exclaimed, “Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! Who has known the mind of the Lord?” (Romans 11:33-34).

@Lady Brown (GREAT JOB!)
ReplyDeleteHow Wives Must Live (Ephesians 6)
21 Be willing to help and care for each other because of Christ. By doing this, you honor Christ. 22 Wives, obey your own husbands. In doing this, you obey the Lord. 23 For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. It is His body (the church) that He saves. 24 As the church is to obey Christ, wives are to obey their own husbands in everything.
@Joan (THERE'S MORE TO HEAR!)
ReplyDeleteHow Husbands Must Live (Ephesians 6)
25 Husbands, love your wives. You must love them as Christ loved the church. He gave His life for it. 26 Christ did this so He could set the church apart for Himself. He made it clean by the washing of water with the Word. 27 Christ did this so the church might stand before Him in shining-greatness. There is to be no sin of any kind in it. It is to be holy and without blame. 28 So men should love their wives as they love their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 No man hates himself. He takes care of his own body. That is the way Christ does. He cares for His body which is the church. 30 We are all a part of His body, the church. 31 For this reason, a man must leave his father and mother when he gets married and be joined to his wife. The two become one. 32 This is hard to understand, but it shows that the church is the body of Christ. 33 So every man must love his wife as he loves himself. Every wife must respect her husband.
The important thing to understand is that God looks at a marriage as an example of the perfect relationship between Jesus and mankind. Jesus gave His life out of love for His bride. It is God’s will that a husband and wife love each other with the self-sacrificing, all-consuming, unconditional love that He has for us.
