It's Already Done!


This is a ministering moment.  A moment of encouragement.  I do a lot of that.  Whatever works for you; I suggest that you use it because MS can & will walk all over you. 

I was sitting here mediating on the Word of God.  Not questioning Him, but wondering why me; MS & Tysabri invading my space.  I’m not questioning God because I know none of this could happen without going through God’s hands first.  If He allowed this to happen then He must have a plan cause I don’t have a clue.

Outside of that, I could hear God say, you have to go through the fire but you won’t get burnt.  He said I won’t pull you out of the fire but I will get into it with you. Read your bible @ Daniel 3 about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego.  God said, Ruth, I’ll be with you always. Matthew 28:20 “teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

I read a devotional & it went something like this, “when you feel you’re drowning in life; remember your life guard walks on water.”

That is where I’m; in my happy place.

“calleth those things which be not as though they were.”

Cold

I’ve had a cold for about 2-3 weeks. My legs feel heavy. It feels like a force against gravity putting one foot in front of the other trying to walk. I feel like I have what can be called the “Man Cold.” I’m coughing, sniffling, sneezing, and wheezing with a congested chest. With MS the medication of my choice suppresses my immune system which caused me to reschedule my next treatment. Through God’s grace the cold will be gone before my appointment.   If I go too long without getting the MS treatment my body starts to do its own thing. Rest, fluids, vitamins, and food helps the MS cold; however I do not have an appetite so I eat little or nothing. Feeling this way really concerns me because with the symptoms could come an elevated body temperature which can lead to a pseudoexacerbation. Beautiful

As I said earlier, I felt stuck because heat & MS don't mix. Which leaves me in the house wishing that I was in a room without a roof.  In other words, I wanted to go outside to get some air & a little sun. I had the opportunity to go out and I enjoyed myself.  Oh, the heat wasn't to bad either. Point being is, I went shopping, well, window shopping 😄. While in the store looking at the clothes and noticing how people were dressed around me, I thought I need some new clothes or shorten it up a little bit. While I was thinking about new clothes, God said, Ruth,   " Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear but  let your adorning be  the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.   For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting to their own husbands."...

Itchy & Scratchy

MS Itch has me feeling like I'm in "The Itchy & Scratchy Show".          MS is Itchy & I'm Scratchy! I was reading this article about the MS itch. I don't know what site I was on. My point is, I would not call it an itch.  My experience is, it feels more like a burning sensation.  So uncomfortable that it feels as if someone is holding a match to my skin.  Yes, I scratch because it's bothersome and I want the feeling to go away.  I only get this feeling in my legs and feet. One day I felt so uncomfortable that I told myself I was going to cut my legs off & call myself shorty. 😊 I have to make lite of it all because I do not want to be moved by my circumstances.  I do have some relief; I use medicated cream.  The cream helps for about 6-8 hours or so. “The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.   Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good.” Psalm 34:7...

Refreshing

I had a great time at lunch yesterday with a group of friends. I feel really blessed to be a part of a MS support group. There is a lot of wisdom in the room; along with good people.   It is an honor and privilege to talk to people that are traveling the same road that I'm on.   “Rise up; this matter is in your hands. We will support you, so take courage and do it.” Ezra 10:4  I was reading Healthline and 12 foods were listed for being high in vitamin B12. After looking at the list, my first thought was OMG.   I know I might have a deficiency because out of the items listed, I probably eat two things.   The foods are as follows: Organ meats, clams, sardines, beef, fortified cereal, tuna, fortified nutritional yeast, trout, salmon, fortified nondairy milk, eggs, milk & dairy products.                               BE BLESSED!

Can Not Lose

I was sitting with my husband trying to get his attention & I just happen to look up at his computer screen, it read a little something like; what do you think?   With God on our side, we can’t lose.   Immediately; Jesus brought two scriptures to my attention which were: “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, [ neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,   neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8-38:39.  “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. Love Has No Limits! AGAPE

I was looking at Pinterest and this quote about love caught my attention.   It really touched my heart because we all want to love and be loved.   Problem is, we don't all know what AGAPE LOVE is.   Do you know?  Life has taught me that love has many different emotional and mental states.   In life we can be loving or not. We all want to hear that four letter word because it makes us feel alive. Therapeutically in my relationship with Jesus, I learned in 1st John 4:8, " God is love". Love is part of His character and what He does is influenced by love.   In John 15:13, God says, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.”   The question remains, do you see AGAPE LOVE in your life?   Do you show AGAPE LOVE to your friends & family “Let all that you do be done with love.”                 1st Corinthians 16:14

Change

I am so glad that God doesn’t change. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever”- Hebrews 13:8. As people we might change our mind, have second thoughts and some may even lie but GOD will remain the same. “ God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?” Numbers 23:19. In my words, there is none like Him. Jesus gives me strength & power daily. “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline” 2 nd Timothy1:7.  There is nobody like You Lord. Not That much

I hàven’t blogged in a bit because I haven't had much to say. I haven't read much about MS worth sharing. Eating healthy is half of the battle with a MS diagnosis.  I discovered five important benefits in eating healthy:  Increase of cognitive behavior, sleep all night, mobility, lower A1C levels, increase energy. “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?   If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.”  1st Corinthians 3:16-17

Gotta Serve Somebody

Never be in a hurry; do everything quietly and in a calm spirit. Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset .   “Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight”. 1 st Peter 3:4 Whatever you choose to do, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”   Matthew 6:33.   If your first priority is God, the rest of your life will fall into place. There is power in having the proper priorities. For most of us, our lives could be summed up with this sentence: We do what we want to do before we do what we have to do. As people, we try to fit God and His Will into our lives.   We want to be pleasing to God, but only after we have pleased ourselves.   So we seek our own will.   We figure that once we have our stuff out of the way, we will have time for the Lord. ...

A Teaching Moment

The biggest mistake that people make or don’t realize is there is a mental aspect to MS.   After three years, I believe, that is where some of us fail.   With or without the disease, it can be complicated to grasp it all.   As people, we get set in our ways & want to do things a certain way.   Well, you better learn another way because MS sets out to ruin what you’re use to. In knowing about the mental aspect of MS, I have to constantly remind myself that God said, “ You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You” Isaiah 26:3. In my words, I fill my mind with God’s Word so that I have no room for whatever MS tries to throw at me. You have to define what mental means to you. MS affect us all differently.   For those of you that don’t know; mental can be stressed, depressed, overwhelmed, brain fog, etc. Whatever it is there is no pill for this.
