I had a great time at lunch yesterday with a group of friends. I feel really blessed to be a part of a MS support group. There is a lot of wisdom in the room; along with good people.   It is an honor and privilege to talk to people that are traveling the same road that I'm on.   “Rise up; this matter is in your hands. We will support you, so take courage and do it.” Ezra 10:4  I was reading Healthline and 12 foods were listed for being high in vitamin B12. After looking at the list, my first thought was OMG.   I know I might have a deficiency because out of the items listed, I probably eat two things.   The foods are as follows: Organ meats, clams, sardines, beef, fortified cereal, tuna, fortified nutritional yeast, trout, salmon, fortified nondairy milk, eggs, milk & dairy products.                               BE BLESSED!

I Wanna Go

I long for 1 day to feel normal. I want to go walking  without support.  I want to go shopping. I want to go to the beach. I want to go to the park. I want to go on a trip. I want my house clean. I'm not complaining because I'm grateful for the grace that God has shown me "Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world." Philippians 2:14-15 I'm not sure what normalcy is but it has to be better than life with a MS diagnosis. My activity is becoming very limited. I stay medicated to alleviate the pain which allows me to move around more.

Beautiful

As I said earlier, I felt stuck because heat & MS don't mix. Which leaves me in the house wishing that I was in a room without a roof.  In other words, I wanted to go outside to get some air & a little sun. I had the opportunity to go out and I enjoyed myself.  Oh, the heat wasn't to bad either. Point being is, I went shopping, well, window shopping 😄. While in the store looking at the clothes and noticing how people were dressed around me, I thought I need some new clothes or shorten it up a little bit. While I was thinking about new clothes, God said, Ruth,   " Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear but  let your adorning be  the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.   For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting to their own husbands."...

Wonderful Counselor

Timeline speaks about PPMS & exercises that can be done to increase cognitive behavior skills.   However as I said before, I feel that disease is disease. MS or something else. The activities that are suggested:   Stay act ive Get adequate sleep Play memory games Write Play puzzle/problem solving activities Get organized Read daily Check medications Counseling Timeline also says that lifestyle choices have big effect on a person’s condition.     I try to do all activities that’s suggested. ·        I’m not as active as I would like to be. If you have a disease that effects your mobility, how active can one be? ·        Sleep-YES ·        Every day I play games and/or use my problem solving skills. ·        Write-I try to blog every day, but I can’t write with a pen/pencil. Know Who You Are

Do you know who you are? I am a child of God (John 1:12)  “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” I am a friend of God (John 15:15) "I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” I am complete in Jesus ( Colossians 2:10)  “You are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.” Yes I can (Philippians 4:13) “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

In The Know

In the midst of doing research, I found an article about using sleep deprivation for severe depression.   It stated that sleep deprivation has a total opposite effect in healthy people then those with depression. The article said if you are healthy and don’t sleep, you develop an attitude but if you are depressed, it can improve your mood/cognitive behavior. I had to share for a couple of reasons:   I thought it was funny because if I read in to it, “I’m healthy & I’m not depressed”.   Because when I’m tired or sleepy; I quickly get an attitude and I’m going to sleep. Depression is a part of MS.   My opinion is that, we will all deal with it in one way or the other. God Is

The thing about being diagnosed with MS; I don't have to go off of someone else's testimony. I know God for myself. I know that He's a Way maker. I know that He's a Shield.   I know that He's a Provider. I know that He's a Healer. I know He's a Protector. He is a Wonderful Counselor. I know that He is the Alpha & Omega. God is Good. God is Real. God is Love. God is my Light in this web of chronic disease of MS.   God is Able. God is my Father, my Friend, God is my Husband.   God is my Joy. God is my Strength. My God is my Today & Tomorrow.   God is a Promise Keeper; He never come short of His Word. God is my all and all! Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” Luke 18:27

Love Has No Limits! AGAPE

I was looking at Pinterest and this quote about love caught my attention.   It really touched my heart because we all want to love and be loved.   Problem is, we don't all know what AGAPE LOVE is.   Do you know?  Life has taught me that love has many different emotional and mental states.   In life we can be loving or not. We all want to hear that four letter word because it makes us feel alive. Therapeutically in my relationship with Jesus, I learned in 1st John 4:8, " God is love". Love is part of His character and what He does is influenced by love.   In John 15:13, God says, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.”   The question remains, do you see AGAPE LOVE in your life?   Do you show AGAPE LOVE to your friends & family “Let all that you do be done with love.”                 1st Corinthians 16:14

It's Getting Hot In Here, AGAIN

Well, I'm stuck again and this hot, dry weather isn't helping. We are in a heat wave so all activities must be inside with AC & fans going. I'll miss a few family, friend functions but honestly its not worth it. It's so hot that sometimes I don't even want to think. It just takes too much energy. With a MS diagnoses, it is like being in a fight. The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” EXODUS 33:14
