The Gift of a Relationship - Part IV of V

A Caregivers Attitude of Gratitude Part IV of V
The Gift of a Relationship

Ruth and I have chosen to put our trust in Jesus not man. When people are faced with a life time of hardships, many will turn to religion, but religion is not the answer, a relationship with Jesus is. I believe that we must develop a relationship with our creator. Religion only gives us guidelines to live by, because religion in no more that rules and regulations to live by. A relationship on the other hand will occupy every part of your being. Relationships are intimate, up close and personal. An intimate relationship with Jesus is no differences from what we have with other closest friends and family members. The only difference is the way we get to know Jesus; through his word (the Bible). He already knows us: “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb, before you were born I set you apartJeremiah 1:5.

In life people can and often do let us down, things change. Someone might say their willing but when it comes time to actually do, things change. The best thing about my friend Jesus Christ, he is the same yesterday and today and forever. If Jesus said it; you can believe it. “God is not a man that he should lie; neither the son of man that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” Numbers 23:19.

Jesus is different, He comes to each one of us personally. He speaks to each of us individually and relates to us on a personal level. Jesus loves us as individuals and he wants to be loved by us as individuals. A relationship with Jesus means that we have to both talk (through prayer) and listen (through the various ways Jesus talks with us). “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” John 10:27.

That’s ultimately what a relationship is. A give and take; both speaking and listening. He wants our love and gives love in return. That's what a personal relationship is about. Jesus said; “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” Revelation 3:20.

Can you hear Jesus knocking on the door of your heart? Please open the door and let him in. God tells us he is as close to us as our own mouth. “But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach)” Romans 10:8.

What is this word of faith? “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9.

Notice the scripture said “You Will Be Saved”. “For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” Romans 10:9. If you want to know more about the praying for salvation read Psalm 51, then have a personal conversation with Jesus.

Father God, it is my hope that someone will read this page and open their heart unto you. Accepting your invitation of salvation. Give us the courage and wisdom to put our trust in you and you alone. Amen!
ACCEPT IT, JESUS LOVES YOU, SO DO I
AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT.
