HOPE

There is hope for MS patients and others with a chronic disease because God said, "And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you." ... 1 Peter 5:10

Sometimes I just have to encourage myself.  MS is rough, frequently I've had some bad days, but I am going to be alright.  I might bend, but I wont break and I am ok, because I got faith. Words

I believe in the power of words. I was asked, if I say that I don’t have MS then why do I take the medicine?   Several answers to that question. I   don’t say it because:   (1)   I don’t want to be moved by my circumstances (2) I can’t ask God to bless me & then tell Him how (3) As I said, I believe in the power of words (4) I BELIEVE WHAT God says about me. Jesus said, Ruth, “Arise, go your way. Testimony Tuesday

I’m losing weight. Not sure how many pounds but I feel myself thinning out.   I don’t know if it’s Tysabri, MS or the preventive medication that combats one of the side effects of Tysabri.   My appetite has really decreased.   I remember my mom saying that it’s ok to gain a few pounds so that if you get sick and lose a couple of pounds; everything will blend in.   Well, here I go. Speaking of losing weight; I read a fantastic article in  Healthline.com on easing MS symptoms with exercise.   Seven were mentioned; I might try at least five. T here is nothing like feeling & looking good. I’m going to enjoy the spring/summer.   Winter was brutal!   Should I say IS brutal cause winter isn’t gone yet. It's Hot In Here!

There was spring like weather for a couple of days, I tried going out.   I was glad to put on a spring outfit & no coat.   Well, I was in for a rude awakening because I was miserable.    It was hot! Heat may cause a worsening of MS symptoms. I think temperature sensitivity is something that is common in all MS patients. I wa s, well, the best way for me to describe it is, I felt some kind of way. At the time, I was visiting family and to hide how I was feeling, I sat on the couch and went to sleep.   I didn't want to try & explain to family nor did I want to alarm my husband about how I felt. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Nobody Can Be a Better Me Than Me

It is time to get in motion.   I start an exercise program in a couple of days.   To improve my balance & strength, the doctor suggested that I attend PT.   I have decided to attend the Yes U Can program. ( Read more @ yesucanusa.org )   The program is designed to offer fitness support to adults with limited mobility.   Personally I think it’s great for those battling MS and there is no fee for this program. An update will come later after I attend a couple of sessions and get into the swing of things. God Is

The thing about being diagnosed with MS; I don't have to go off of someone else's testimony. I know God for myself. I know that He's a Way maker. I know that He's a Shield.   I know that He's a Provider. I know that He's a Healer. I know He's a Protector. He is a Wonderful Counselor. I know that He is the Alpha & Omega. God is Good. God is Real. God is Love. God is my Light in this web of chronic disease of MS.   God is Able. God is my Father, my Friend, God is my Husband.   God is my Joy. God is my Strength. My God is my Today & Tomorrow.   God is a Promise Keeper; He never come short of His Word. God is my all and all! Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” Luke 18:27

Good

Sitting here looking back over my life brings tears to my eyes to see God working in my life.   The Lord is good to me.   He went as far as giving His only Son .   “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”   John 3:16 Thank you, Jesus for waking me up this morning, putting food in my kitchen and clothes on my back. You are good to me.   I thank You for the good & bad times including MS because all of it is making, molding and shaping me into the woman that You created me to be. Lord, You are good to me. Thank You

Quite naturally, I blog about myself.   In doing so, I failed to say thank you. Thank you to my best friend, lover, care taker, my husband. THANK YOU!   It gets no better than this. Through it all, we been through so much with MS; there were times when I was afraid and you stayed right by my side. You know me so well it seems that you know when I need a little of this or that. Life as I knew it has really changed since the diagnoses of MS and I want to be forever mindful of how you take care of me.   For that I say, THANK YOU!   With the outpouring of love, you have made the everyday challenges of MS a little easier.
