Don't Hesitate!

After receiving a small glimpse into the diversity of others diagnosed with MS; I realized one thing, MS does not discriminate.  The fury of MS can be unleashed on anybody; at anytime, no matter who you are or your walk in life.

After analyzing it all, my first thought was WOW. I also thought about Mathew 5:45 where God says, “That you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”

A Note To My Husband:  I never knew love until I met God & then He introduced me to an extraordinary man.   A man that loves God more then he loves me and love me more then he loves himself.  In the beginning, I was unsure of what I was looking at.   It was like walking around with blinders on trying to find a peek of sunshine. Through my relationship with God and the studying of His Word, I learned, that man, my husband, caretaker was showing nothing but patience and adoration over 32 years.   T o be a caretaker of any one with a chronic disease must be a huge task. To be the husband of a woman that is diagnosed with MS, the task got to be even larger.   Sometime I don’t show it, but every day, I’m thankful. Being diagnosed with MS makes one reflect on life.   I’ve learned to thank God for the small triumphs.   I stop taking things for granted.   Case and point, three words came to my mind, red, purple & blue.   I thank God for speech.   Lord, I thank You! Our words have real power. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue,” Proverbs 18:21. Itchy & Scratchy

MS Itch has me feeling like I'm in "The Itchy & Scratchy Show".          MS is Itchy & I'm Scratchy! I was reading this article about the MS itch. I don't know what site I was on. My point is, I would not call it an itch.  My experience is, it feels more like a burning sensation.  So uncomfortable that it feels as if someone is holding a match to my skin.  Yes, I scratch because it's bothersome and I want the feeling to go away.  I only get this feeling in my legs and feet. One day I felt so uncomfortable that I told myself I was going to cut my legs off & call myself shorty. 😊 I have to make lite of it all because I do not want to be moved by my circumstances.  I do have some relief; I use medicated cream.  The cream helps for about 6-8 hours or so. “The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.   Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good.” Psalm 34:7...

There is power in acknowledging that Jesus is Lord! Above all else,  giving Him the highest praise because He is worthy... Hallelujah! Praise & worship helps me take the focus off of myself.  Praise keeps me humble; a constant reminder that it's not about me at all. IT'S ABOUT JESUS ! The Gift of a Relationship Ruth and I have chosen to put our trust in Jesus not man. When people are faced with a life time of hardships, many will turn to religion, but religion is not the answer, a relationship with Jesus is. I believe that we must develop a relationship with our creator. Religion only gives us guidelines to live by, because religion in no more than rules and regulations to live by. A relationship on the other hand will occupy every part of your being. Relationships are intimate, up close and personal. An intimate relationship with Jesus is no differences from what we have with other closest friends and family members. The only difference is the way we get to know Jesus; through his word ( the Bible ). Limitless

Do you know your limitations?   I’m learning what my limitations are.   To try and prevent falling; when the body says sit down, that is what I do.   Sometime my mind & body don’t work together.   My mind say let’s do this or that and my body say DO NOT LISTEN! At that point my body does its own thing, separate from the mind. It doesn’t matter what the disease is because disease is disease.     It can be MS or something else. Whatever it maybe it all comes to do three things; steal, kill and destroy.   “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. ” John 10:10 The point of it all is, we should know our limitations which is part of knowing who we are. God Is

The thing about being diagnosed with MS; I don't have to go off of someone else's testimony. I know God for myself. I know that He's a Way maker. I know that He's a Shield.   I know that He's a Provider. I know that He's a Healer. I know He's a Protector. He is a Wonderful Counselor. I know that He is the Alpha & Omega. God is Good. God is Real. God is Love. God is my Light in this web of chronic disease of MS.   God is Able. God is my Father, my Friend, God is my Husband.   God is my Joy. God is my Strength. My God is my Today & Tomorrow.   God is a Promise Keeper; He never come short of His Word. God is my all and all! Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” Luke 18:27

Love Has No Limits! AGAPE

I was looking at Pinterest and this quote about love caught my attention.   It really touched my heart because we all want to love and be loved.   Problem is, we don't all know what AGAPE LOVE is.   Do you know?  Life has taught me that love has many different emotional and mental states.   In life we can be loving or not. We all want to hear that four letter word because it makes us feel alive. Therapeutically in my relationship with Jesus, I learned in 1st John 4:8, " God is love". Love is part of His character and what He does is influenced by love.   In John 15:13, God says, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.”   The question remains, do you see AGAPE LOVE in your life?   Do you show AGAPE LOVE to your friends & family “Let all that you do be done with love.”                 1st Corinthians 16:14
