Cannabis


I read two different articles that says cannabis is effective in treating MS symptoms. I didn't capture the names of either site.  Both state the following health benefits:
1.     It protects the brain                                                                           
2.     Pain
3.     Spasticity                                                                          
4.     Digestion
5.     Helps you sleep
6.     Depression
7.     Protects eyes
I also read that researchers have an enormous lead in understanding cannabis as a MS treatment.  To my understanding there is a cannabis-based MS drug on the market. There are a wide range of complaints since MS affects us all differently; however I believe that things are looking up in relieving some MS discomfort. I think it’s all good, but that is another doctor, patient conversation because I feel that cannabis therapy is a personal choice.

I must say, some states are a little over the top with retail cannabis stores. I also read that California is trying to pass law to tax medical cannabis to combat homelessness.  Leafly.com, in the author's words, talked about "cannabis-induced munchies."  On the same site, there is talk about legalizing cannabis federally.  After that I stop reading, it is all too much.  Honestly, I just want some type of relief and normalcy, without all the side effects and other complications.  I really don't know what normal is but the load has to be lighter than MS.

    Cannabis reduces pain in MS sufferers by directly working to reduce immune response and resultant inflammation, and also reduces musculoskeletal pain caused by muscle spasms and spasticity. A scientific review published in 2007 indicated that THC was more effective at managing MS-related pain than CBD and dronabinol, a synthetic form of THC.

As I said earlier, I felt stuck because heat & MS don't mix. Which leaves me in the house wishing that I was in a room without a roof.  In other words, I wanted to go outside to get some air & a little sun. I had the opportunity to go out and I enjoyed myself.  Oh, the heat wasn't to bad either. Point being is, I went shopping, well, window shopping 😄. I Wanna Go

I long for 1 day to feel normal. I want to go walking  without support.  I want to go shopping. I want to go to the beach. I want to go to the park. I want to go on a trip. I want my house clean. I'm not complaining because I'm grateful for the grace that God has shown me "Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world." Philippians 2:14-15 I'm not sure what normalcy is but it has to be better than life with a MS diagnosis. My activity is becoming very limited. I stay medicated to alleviate the pain which allows me to move around more.

What Is This?

I never seen anything like this before in my life. MS is the lonest, the most expensive, the most complicated and I can go on forever. I never experienced anything like this before.  Right now, I feel like I'm the only person in the world. I feel like nobody cares and if they do, well, they don't understand.  With MS, to not  understand or to not care is the same thing. Because with both, one can not relate to the MS patient.  Speaking personally, that is what anyone with a chronic disease need, someone to understand and have the ability to relate to the disease and all the obstacles that come with it. I think I'm overwhelmed.  Sometimes I think too much. However I saw a quote that said "Sun is alone too, but still shines." FYI

I read several good articles about how certain things effect those diagnosed with MS.  One of them was so funny and made me think that the person who  wrote it must know me.  LOL........................ One article spoke about social situations and how MS patients can/do perceive things wrong.  Someone can say something without malicious intentions & because of how the brain processes information a person with MS can perceive the person to be angry. It appears that Satan is on the attack against families. Anything that God holds honorable in His eyes, Satan tries to tear down. Satan is working overtime to create discord within families. Satan knows our weaknesses because he has sat around and listened to us for years. He puts a thought in our mind. We think that it is our thought so we say what we are thinking. It's Getting Hot In Here, AGAIN

Well, I'm stuck again and this hot, dry weather isn't helping. We are in a heat wave so all activities must be inside with AC & fans going. I'll miss a few family, friend functions but honestly its not worth it. It's so hot that sometimes I don't even want to think. It just takes too much energy. A Teaching Moment

The biggest mistake that people make or don’t realize is there is a mental aspect to MS.   After three years, I believe, that is where some of us fail.   With or without the disease, it can be complicated to grasp it all.   As people, we get set in our ways & want to do things a certain way.   Well, you better learn another way because MS sets out to ruin what you’re use to. In knowing about the mental aspect of MS, I have to constantly remind myself that God said, “ You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You” Isaiah 26:3. In my words, I fill my mind with God’s Word so that I have no room for whatever MS tries to throw at me. You have to define what mental means to you. Less Of Me...

MS has taught me many things and a few of them are:  Everyone has obstacles to overcome, I must be grateful, Thank God for the small triumphs. " Rejoice always, pray continually, give t hanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. To bring you up where I am, I was diagnosed with MS in 2015.   I must say that there is a link between MS & depression.   Needless to say I was feeling some kind of way, but I’m so glad that I know Jesus.   I had to remind myself that God promises to keep me in perfect peace if I keep my mind stayed on Him.   “ You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.”   Isaiah 26:3.   With that being said, God brought to my mind several scriptures:   Psalm 125:1 “   Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.”   Isaiah 40:31   “   but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
