Ruth, this is a good example of your faith and Spiritual well being. Faith is defined as belief with strong conviction; Believing is not exactly the same as faith. For belief to be faith, it must rely on what is certainly true. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” Hebrews 1:11. There's no time for evidence collection, to wait, to hear, for certainty. Just keep walking in your faith and Jesus will manifest himself in your situation.
I believe in the power of words. I was asked, if I say that I don’t have MS then why do I take the medicine? Several answers to that question. I don’t say it because: (1) I don’t want to be moved by my circumstances (2) I can’t ask God to bless me & then tell Him how (3) As I said, I believe in the power of words (4) I BELIEVE WHAT God says about me. Jesus said, Ruth, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.” Luke 17:19 then He said, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Psalm 139:14 Regarding the power of my words, God said ,” Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Proverbs 18:21. In my own words, I BELIEVE WHAT I SAY & SAY WHAT I BELIEVE! I don’t go by what I see. It’s already done. “And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are y...
Quite naturally, I blog about myself. In doing so, I failed to say thank you. Thank you to my best friend, lover, care taker, my husband. THANK YOU! It gets no better than this. Through it all, we been through so much with MS; there were times when I was afraid and you stayed right by my side. You know me so well it seems that you know when I need a little of this or that. Life as I knew it has really changed since the diagnoses of MS and I want to be forever mindful of how you take care of me. For that I say, THANK YOU! With the outpouring of love, you have made the everyday challenges of MS a little easier. For that, THANK YOU! Most of all, I thank Jesus because without Him, I can do nothing. I thank the Lord for touching your heart on my behalf. Lord, I Thank You... A Christian husband loves God more then he loves his wife and loves his wife more than he loves himself. “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and...
I must say that sometimes how or what I write may not be proper English. I usually write the way it is on my mind. It all depends on the way that I feel & I'm not always feeling proper or as some may call it, NORMAL. What's that? I was talking to a friend today; it was a refreshing conversation. I admire her, she get it. She reached out to me when the doctor first diagnosed MS. She gives me a lot of good information concerning the disease. I’M GRATEFUL! I said all that to say, it’s good to find someone that can relate to MS. Experience has taught me that most people don’t get it unless they are walking in it. In other words, unless the doctor has diagnosed them. “ Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm. ” Proverbs 13:20 I read another good article about how MS can and does affect social lives. I was on Healthline.com.
I have a childhood friend and with the good, bad & ugly in life she is always there for me. Point being, I had a short stay in the hospital & when I was released, I text her to thank her for her generosity. I received a response from her that really lifted my spirits. In respecting her privacy, I'll share some of what was said without using her name. Hey Ruth no need to thank me for anything. What I know and dont take for granted is we are Friends & Sister till the end. Yes we get lost in time and in our everyday lives but I will ALWAYS be there for you. Im only a phone call or text away. Dont ever forget that.
I hàven’t blogged in a bit because I haven't had much to say. I haven't read much about MS worth sharing. Eating healthy is half of the battle with a MS diagnosis. I discovered five important benefits in eating healthy: Increase of cognitive behavior, sleep all night, mobility, lower A1C levels, increase energy. “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.” 1st Corinthians 3:16-17
Never be in a hurry; do everything quietly and in a calm spirit. Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset . “Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight”. 1 st Peter 3:4 Whatever you choose to do, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33. If your first priority is God, the rest of your life will fall into place. There is power in having the proper priorities. For most of us, our lives could be summed up with this sentence: We do what we want to do before we do what we have to do. As people, we try to fit God and His Will into our lives. We want to be pleasing to God, but only after we have pleased ourselves. So we seek our own will. We figure that once we have our stuff out of the way, we will have time for the Lord. ...
I'm very fond of birds. I have always seen birds as a sign of life. I have 3 parrots; 2 Love Birds and 1 African Grey. The love birds are just that. The female laid 6 eggs. Every time I go into the room, I try to peek in the cage and see how many eggs hatched. However I'm unable to see because the mother bird is protective; she sits on top of her babies to ensure their safety. The moment I saw the bird's reaction God brought to my attention Psalm 91:4 “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.”
Do you ever feel like the MS symptoms stop you from being there? In other words, MS prevents you from doing and/or going the places that you would like to!
I was watching the news in reference to the Government shutdown. This lady was on there crying because with no pay, her and her son will be homeless. Point being, it is a lesson in it for us all. In one way or the other we will be if not already effected. Lesson being, God is my Provider; it's all just stuff. God wants all of us to lean & depend upon Him. "For kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." 1st Timothy 2:2-4
